Coolshop is a retail giant in Denmark and Europe. While they’re mostly known as the go-to place for all things games, consoles, and electronics, they’ve since branched out to include household items, gardening tools, and even beauty and personal care.

With such a wide range of 35.000 products, they knew they faced a challenge: How do you optimize conversions for a customer base with many differing product needs?

And how do you communicate personally to each user and their specific interests?

That’s when Louise and Maria, Coolshop’s marketing team, discovered Raptor and Alvas.

How did they do it?

Automated Triggers

First, they wanted to work on the conversion rate on Coolshop’s site, and that’s when they started using Raptor’s E-mail Triggers.

Raptor keeps track of each user’s behavior on their website, keeping an eye on any interesting behavior on their site. This could be a certain product being viewed a certain number of times, a cart being abandoned, or a price drop of a wish list item.

This data is then sent to Coolshop’s e-mail platform, Klaviyo, which triggers personalized e-mails to the user, often with relevant cross-selling suggestions.

The triggers saw excellent Conversion Rates and Revenue Per E-mail, but there was still one problem:

Because Coolshop’s product catalogue is so vast, the written content had to be generic to fit every single category and product type. Louise and Maria knew they could do even better.

That’s where Alvas comes into the picture.

Fully AI-driven texts and recommendations

Alvas is a platform designed to create hyper-personalized and automated written content for every e-mail. It uses AI to craft wording and tone-of-voice based on the specific context of each e-mail, ensuring that every interaction feels personal, relevant, and on-brand.

And by feeding Product Discount data from Raptor, Alvas can even write about the discount in real time if the item is on sale.

Louise and Maria were able to train the Alvas software to emulate Coolshop’s exact tone of voice, making sure each e-mail mimics the light-hearted and playful tone that is on-brand for them.

Now, Louise, Maria and the Coolshop team have a perfect e-mail setup, where everything from subject line, text, and product recommendations is entirely automated and personal.
